If you are considering having your wedding at Hawthorn Estate in Winnipeg, this is an excellent wedding for inspiration.

Aaron and Courtney had their wedding ceremony AND reception at Hawthorn Estate, and it was beautiful. One thing to note about Hawthorn Estate is that it is located about 30 mins from Winnipeg. But it is super easy to find plus the location is just perfect.

Once you arrive there you can leave your keys in your jacket till the end of the day. There is no need to travel to the ceremony, reception or a beautiful photo location. Everything is right there. There is enough parking space, and as well everything is wheelchair accessible.

Plus so many good spots to take photos. It’s just a paradise in terms of taking pictures. My favorite part is that the west side is wide open so you don’t have to hunt the sun or travel to a location to see the sunset. At Hawthorn Estate you are guaranteed to get a beautiful sunset photo.

One huge plus point is if you get married in early spring, late fall or in Winter you still can get beautiful pictures. And you won’t freeze to death. You go outside and take photos for 10-15 minutes. When you feel a little cold you go inside and warm up. That is something to consider when you choose your venue and its cold outside. Not only for taking pictures, but the atmosphere also is perfect. The owners and staff are super friendly and help anywhere they can.

Something to mention is that Hawthorn Estate is fully air-conditioned and heated for your comfort. The barn features elegant lounge areas, a mezzanine with billiards table, brides dressing room, and an open-air covered solarium. I can’t wait to photograph another wedding at Hawthorn Estate.
