It’s Your Day: Do What You Want

When it comes to weddings in this day and age, you do not have to feel limited or constrained by tradition.  You also should not feel as if you are being pushing into any decisions you do not want to make by your wedding planner or by any of your family members.  Your wedding day should be about what you want, so remember: the only compromises you have to make are the ones that you decide.

This gives you an opportunity to think outside the box.  For example, you can chose to position your officiant (and/or yourselves) off to the side so you do not have to worry about your officiant unintentionally photobombing your first kiss as a married couple.  Little choices like that can really make your wedding day your own.

Consider Banning Personal Devices at the Ceremony

This may seem old-fashioned at first, but tablets and camera phones are a true eyesore in the middle of a ceremony, especially when guests hold them up in the air to get a better vantage point whenever they’d like.  This is very troublesome to wedding photographers, to say the least.  It should not be too much trouble to ask your guests to wait to take photos until after the ceremony and simply be present and enjoy the happy occasion.
